Our Club

The Niagara Fury Volleyball Club was founded by Pat Purbs with the goal of giving young athletes the opportunity to learn and develop as volleyball players. Fury has recently undergone some changes, however our goal is the same.  Fury’s approach is based on the knowledge that volleyball is a team sport and it takes a group of athletes working together to succeed. We will always strive to coach and develop the individual skills required to be successful – however we also want to see our players develop skills that make them great teammates.

Fury’s approach is to give athletes as many opportunities to succeed as possible. First, we want to truly inspire our athletes to fall in love with volleyball and to want to achieve success within the sport. Our coaching staff shares a love for this sport and we want to develop that within our athletes too. We believe that success in volleyball, or any sport,  starts with having fun playing the game!

Second, we want to provide every player with talented coaching and support programs to develop their skills and abilities. Our teams will also have as much game time as possible to build teamwork and group success. Through practices, clinics, and tournaments we will also strive to teach our athletes the skills required to be successful volleyball players.

Finally, we want to see our athletes achieve success at all levels of play and we hope that our programs foster a love for volleyball that continues for life! Success comes in many ways and no two athletes are the same. We understand that every athlete will come to our club with their own personal goals and an idea of what it means to succeed. We will support each athlete in achieving their goals within the sport and experiencing positive achievement.
